A SOMBER FUNERAL
A SOMBER FUNERAL was founded in late 2023 by Alex and Chris, members
of the band BLACK AEONS. This atmospheric black metal band from
Kaiserslautern, Germany released their debut album „Summertime Sorrow“ in
March 2024. At the end of the year, their new song „Celestial Child“ is out on December 27th. The new song didn’t fit thematically into the
concept of the upcoming album, which is currently being recorded. For this
reason, the band decided to release it as a standalone single.
„This song is dedicated to a mother (name unknown) who lost her child two
weeks before birth. I met her during my vacation in the summer of 2013.“
